While Hunan and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Shaodong's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In new street additions, Shaodong and Mouping both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Gongzhuling built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Shaodong fluctuated in connectivity, while Gongzhuling grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Mouping became progressively more disconnected. Shaodong and Gongzhuling have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
