The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Huarong plotted against Hunan and China. While Hunan and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Huarong's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Huarong's incremental SNDi rose from 2.47 to 2.75 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Huarong ranked 34th out of 89 cities in Hunan and 720th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

Huarong, Parasia, and Matsue all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. For the full network, Huarong and Parasia both fluctuated in connectivity, while Matsue became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Huarong had a more connected network than Matsue in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
