The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Anren plotted against Hunan and China. While Hunan and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Anren's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Anren's incremental SNDi rose from 3.42 to 3.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Anren ranked 55th out of 89 cities in Hunan and 1242nd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Tongaat and Kryzhanivka both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Anren fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions.
