While Hubei and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Xinzhou District's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xinzhou District's incremental SNDi rose from 1.97 to 2.79 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Xinzhou District and Hitachi both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Yalova built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Yalova and Hitachi both became progressively more disconnected, while Xinzhou District fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Xinzhou District had a more sprawly network than Yalova in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
