The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Duodao plotted against Hubei and China. The SNDi of new construction in Duodao peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Hubei which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Duodao's incremental SNDi fell from 2.33 to 1.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Duodao ranked 13th out of 77 cities in Hubei and 333rd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Kulai and Potsdam both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Duodao built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Kulai and Potsdam both became progressively more disconnected, while Duodao grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Duodao and Kulai have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
