The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Xunxian plotted against Henan and China. The SNDi of new construction in Xunxian peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Henan which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xunxian's incremental SNDi fell from 3.53 to 2.99 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Xunxian ranked 102nd out of 129 cities in Henan and 1086th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Wonosari and Musumba both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Xunxian built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Wonosari and Musumba both became progressively more disconnected, while Xunxian grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Xunxian and Wonosari have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
