The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jiaozuo plotted against Henan and China. While Henan and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Jiaozuo's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jiaozuo's incremental SNDi rose from 2.86 to 3.2 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jiaozuo ranked 92nd out of 129 cities in Henan and 961st out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

Jiaozuo, Nellore, and Sahiwal all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. The same pattern holds for the full street network. Notably, Jiaozuo had a more sprawly network than Nellore in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
