The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Shuangcheng plotted against Heilongjiang and China. While Heilongjiang and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Shuangcheng's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Shuangcheng's incremental SNDi rose from 2.54 to 3.59 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shuangcheng ranked 30th out of 67 cities in Heilongjiang and 482nd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Shuangcheng and Ziway both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Baode built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Shuangcheng became progressively more disconnected, while Ziway fluctuated in connectivity and Baode grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved.
