The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nehe plotted against Heilongjiang and China. While Heilongjiang and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Nehe's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nehe's incremental SNDi rose from 2.93 to 3.77 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Nehe and Xiangyun both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Jianyang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Nehe and Xiangyun both became progressively more disconnected, while Jianyang fluctuated in connectivity. Nehe and Xiangyun have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
