The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Heihe plotted against Heilongjiang and China. While Heilongjiang and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Heihe's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease. Most recently, Heihe's incremental SNDi rose from 3.8 to 5.09 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Heihe ranked 67th out of 67 cities in Heilongjiang and 1756th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

For the full network, Heihe grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Tando Muhammad Khan fluctuated in connectivity and Tancheng grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
