The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dongning plotted against Heilongjiang and China. While Heilongjiang and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Dongning's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dongning's incremental SNDi rose from 2.7 to 2.77 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Dongning and Julu both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Pathanamthitta built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Dongning fluctuated in connectivity, while Pathanamthitta became progressively more disconnected and Julu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Dongning and Pathanamthitta have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
