The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Baoshan plotted against Heilongjiang and China. While Heilongjiang and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Baoshan's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Baoshan's incremental SNDi rose from 3.33 to 3.68 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Baoshan ranked 61st out of 67 cities in Heilongjiang as of 2020.

For the full network, Baoshan and Dunedin both became progressively more disconnected, while Phulpur fluctuated in connectivity. Baoshan and Phulpur have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
