The SNDi of new construction in Xushui District rose steadily, compared to Hebei which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xushui District's incremental SNDi rose from 3.11 to 4.57 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Xushui District ranked 79th out of 120 cities in Hebei and 1137th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Nandail and Gayara both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Xushui District built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Xushui District and Gayara both became progressively more disconnected, while Nandail grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Xushui District and Nandail have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
