The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tang'erli plotted against Hebei and China. The SNDi of new construction in Tang'erli rose steadily, compared to Hebei which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tang'erli's incremental SNDi rose from 2.97 to 4.02 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tang'erli ranked 56th out of 120 cities in Hebei and 914th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tang'erli built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Taipa built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Peixian built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Tang'erli became progressively more disconnected, while Taipa grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Peixian became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Tang'erli and Peixian have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
