In terms of the aggregate network, Ningjin ranked 22nd out of 120 cities in Hebei and 444th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Bharthana and Liangshan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Ningjin fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. For the full network, Ningjin became progressively more disconnected, while Bharthana became progressively more connected and Liangshan became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Ningjin and Bharthana have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
