The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Xiuying District plotted against Hainan and China. The SNDi of new construction in Xiuying District rose steadily, compared to Hainan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xiuying District's incremental SNDi rose from 3.69 to 4.54 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Xiuying District ranked 9th out of 17 cities in Hainan and 1377th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Xiuying District built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Moradabad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Purwokerto built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Xiuying District and Purwokerto both became progressively more disconnected, while Moradabad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Xiuying District and Moradabad have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
