The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zhongxing Road plotted against Guizhou and China. While Guizhou and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Zhongxing Road's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Zhongxing Road's incremental SNDi rose from 3.83 to 4.12 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zhongxing Road ranked 31st out of 41 cities in Guizhou and 1554th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Zhongxing Road fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Firuzeh fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Xangongo built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Zhongxing Road fluctuated in connectivity, while Firuzeh became progressively more connected and Xangongo became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Notably, Zhongxing Road had a more connected network than Firuzeh in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
