The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nayong plotted against Guizhou and China. The SNDi of new construction in Nayong followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Guizhou which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nayong's incremental SNDi fell from 3.48 to 2.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nayong ranked 24th out of 41 cities in Guizhou and 1346th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nayong fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ocaña fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Maxixe built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Nayong became progressively more connected, while Ocaña fluctuated in connectivity and Maxixe became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Nayong had a more sprawly network than Ocaña in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
