What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Shijiao fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Al Jahra built increasingly connected streets over time and Zhanaozen built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Shijiao fluctuated in connectivity, while Al Jahra became progressively more connected and Zhanaozen grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Shijiao had a more connected network than Zhanaozen in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
