All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Qingyuan's incremental SNDi rose from 2.38 to 2.83 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Qingyuan ranked 30th out of 133 cities in Guangdong as of 2020.

In new street additions, Qingyuan and Yiyang both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Jaunpur built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Qingyuan fluctuated in connectivity, while Yiyang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Jaunpur became progressively more disconnected. Qingyuan and Jaunpur have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
