The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jinli plotted against Guangdong and China. The SNDi of new construction in Jinli peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Guangdong which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jinli's incremental SNDi fell from 3.69 to 3.29 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jinli ranked 85th out of 133 cities in Guangdong and 1381st out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Jinli built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Polatlı built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Barabai built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Polatlı and Barabai both became progressively more disconnected, while Jinli grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Jinli and Barabai have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
