All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Boluo's incremental SNDi rose from 1.68 to 2.39 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Boluo ranked 6th out of 133 cities in Guangdong and 162nd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

For the full network, Boluo and Gejiu both became progressively more disconnected, while Madanapalle fluctuated in connectivity. Boluo and Gejiu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
