The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Luomen plotted against Gansu and China. The SNDi of new construction in Luomen peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Gansu which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Luomen's incremental SNDi fell from 5.05 to 4.12 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Luomen ranked 18th out of 29 cities in Gansu and 1656th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Luomen and Bolzano - Bozen both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Mohania built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Luomen and Bolzano - Bozen both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Mohania became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Luomen had a more connected network than Mohania in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
