The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yongding plotted against Fujian and China. The SNDi of new construction in Yongding followed a zig-zag trend, compared to Fujian which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Yongding ranked 18th out of 75 cities in Fujian and 644th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Yongding fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Arujá built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Basoko fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Arujá and Basoko both became progressively more disconnected, while Yongding fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Yongding had a more sprawly network than Arujá in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
