The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jianyang plotted against Fujian and China. The SNDi of new construction in Jianyang peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Fujian which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jianyang's incremental SNDi fell from 2.15 to 1.7 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jianyang ranked 2nd out of 75 cities in Fujian as of 2020.

While Nehe and Majalengka both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Jianyang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Nehe and Majalengka both became progressively more disconnected, while Jianyang fluctuated in connectivity. Jianyang and Nehe have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
