The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Wansheng plotted against Chongqing and China. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Wansheng's incremental SNDi rose from 4.56 to 5.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Wansheng ranked 36th out of 47 cities in Chongqing and 1719th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Wansheng and Bingöl both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Tekari built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Tekari and Bingöl both became progressively more disconnected, while Wansheng fluctuated in connectivity. Wansheng and Bingöl have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
