The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dazu plotted against Chongqing and China. The SNDi of new construction in Dazu rose steadily, compared to Chongqing which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dazu's incremental SNDi rose from 2.68 to 2.8 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dazu ranked 12th out of 47 cities in Chongqing and 705th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Brest and Jequié both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Dazu built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Notably, Dazu had a more connected network than Brest in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
