The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Huairou plotted against Beijing and China. While Beijing and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Huairou's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Huairou's incremental SNDi rose from 3.29 to 4.14 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Huairou and Hpa-An both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Kunduz built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Huairou and Hpa-An both became progressively more disconnected, while Kunduz grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Huairou and Hpa-An have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
