The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Huolong plotted against Anhui and China. The SNDi of new construction in Huolong followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Anhui which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Huolong's incremental SNDi fell from 6.92 to 4.75 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Huolong ranked 74th out of 74 cities in Anhui and 1816th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Huolong fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Kamsar built increasingly disconnected streets over time and الفاروق built increasingly connected streets over time. For the full network, Huolong and الفاروق both became progressively more connected, while Kamsar became progressively more disconnected. Huolong and Kamsar have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
