The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chuzhou plotted against Anhui and China. The SNDi of new construction in Chuzhou rose steadily, compared to Anhui which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Chuzhou's incremental SNDi rose from 3.11 to 3.43 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chuzhou ranked 48th out of 74 cities in Anhui and 946th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Chuzhou and Khandwa both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Bournemouth built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Chuzhou and Khandwa have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
