The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bowang plotted against Anhui and China. The SNDi of new construction in Bowang rose steadily, compared to Anhui which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bowang's incremental SNDi rose from 2.97 to 3.87 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bowang ranked 59th out of 74 cities in Anhui and 1258th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bowang and Mehrabpur both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Trinidad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Bowang and Trinidad have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
