In new street additions, Figuil built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Parangipettai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Fenxi built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Figuil and Fenxi both became progressively more disconnected, while Parangipettai fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Figuil had a more sprawly network than Fenxi in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
