The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kousseri plotted against Extrême-Nord and Cameroon. The SNDi of new construction in Kousseri peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Extrême-Nord which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Cameroon which rose steadily. Most recently, Kousseri's incremental SNDi fell from 2.6 to 2.09 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kousseri ranked 6th out of 8 cities in Extrême-Nord and 11th out of 44 in Cameroon as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Tirupattur and Qijiang both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Kousseri built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Tirupattur and Qijiang both fluctuated in connectivity, while Kousseri grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Kousseri and Tirupattur have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
