The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fernandópolis plotted against São Paulo and Brazil. While São Paulo and Brazil both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Fernandópolis's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Fernandópolis's incremental SNDi rose from 1.65 to 2.14 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fernandópolis ranked 13th out of 76 cities in São Paulo and 41st out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Fernandópolis fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Chodavaram built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Mocímboa da Praia built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Fernandópolis and Mocímboa da Praia both became progressively more disconnected, while Chodavaram became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Fernandópolis and Chodavaram have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
