The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Araras plotted against São Paulo and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Araras rose steadily, compared to São Paulo which rose steadily and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Araras's incremental SNDi rose from 2.68 to 3.26 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Araras ranked 44th out of 76 cities in São Paulo and 186th out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Araras built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kharagpur built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Bobbili fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Araras became progressively more disconnected, while Kharagpur grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Bobbili became progressively more disconnected. Araras and Bobbili have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
