The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Erechim plotted against Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil. While Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Erechim's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Erechim's incremental SNDi rose from 2.65 to 3.75 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Erechim ranked 14th out of 22 cities in Rio Grande do Sul and 222nd out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Erechim fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Valencia built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Huojia built increasingly connected streets over time. For the full network, Erechim and Valencia both became progressively more disconnected, while Huojia became progressively more connected. Erechim and Huojia have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
