The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Teresópolis plotted against Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Teresópolis rose steadily, compared to Rio de Janeiro which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Teresópolis's incremental SNDi rose from 7.07 to 8.38 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Teresópolis ranked 20th out of 22 cities in Rio de Janeiro and 361st out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.
