All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Itaguaí's incremental SNDi rose from 2.51 to 3.68 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Itaguaí and Jiangchuan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Nzagi built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Itaguaí and Nzagi both became progressively more disconnected, while Jiangchuan fluctuated in connectivity. Itaguaí and Jiangchuan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
