The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Telêmaco Borba plotted against Paraná and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Telêmaco Borba rose steadily, compared to Paraná which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Telêmaco Borba's incremental SNDi rose from 2.78 to 3.13 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Telêmaco Borba built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Wangcang County fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Xuedian built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Telêmaco Borba and Wangcang County both became progressively more disconnected, while Xuedian grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Telêmaco Borba had a more sprawly network than Wangcang County in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
