The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Arapongas plotted against Paraná and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Arapongas rose steadily, compared to Paraná which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Arapongas's incremental SNDi rose from 2.97 to 3.06 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Arapongas ranked 14th out of 22 cities in Paraná and 229th out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Arapongas and Phaltan both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Đức Hòa fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Arapongas and Phaltan both became progressively more disconnected, while Đức Hòa fluctuated in connectivity. Arapongas and Phaltan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
