The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sete Lagoas plotted against Minas Gerais and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Sete Lagoas rose steadily, compared to Minas Gerais which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Sete Lagoas's incremental SNDi rose from 2.15 to 2.53 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sete Lagoas ranked 9th out of 49 cities in Minas Gerais and 70th out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sete Lagoas and Chausa both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Walton-on-Thames built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Sete Lagoas and Chausa both became progressively more disconnected, while Walton-on-Thames grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
