The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Janaúba plotted against Minas Gerais and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Janaúba peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Minas Gerais which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Janaúba's incremental SNDi fell from 1.59 to 1.58 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Janaúba ranked 6th out of 49 cities in Minas Gerais and 49th out of 365 in Brazil as of 2020.

In new street additions, Janaúba and Lençóis Paulista both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Maasvlakte fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Janaúba became progressively more disconnected, while Lençóis Paulista grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Maasvlakte grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved.
