The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Planaltina plotted against Goiás and Brazil. The SNDi of new construction in Planaltina rose steadily, compared to Goiás which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Brazil which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Planaltina's incremental SNDi rose from 1.89 to 2.8 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Planaltina ranked 12th out of 17 cities in Goiás as of 2020.

Planaltina and Busia have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
