The SNDi of new construction in Mechelen peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Vlaanderen which rose steadily and Belgium which rose steadily. In new street additions, Mechelen built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Manchester built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Yuanqiao fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Mechelen and Manchester both became progressively more disconnected, while Yuanqiao became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Mechelen and Manchester have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
