The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Habiganj plotted against Sylhet and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Habiganj rose steadily, compared to Sylhet which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Habiganj's incremental SNDi rose from 4.25 to 4.25 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Habiganj ranked 2nd out of 24 cities in Sylhet and 19th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Habiganj built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Taliparamba built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Linying fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Habiganj became progressively more disconnected, while Taliparamba became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and Linying fluctuated in connectivity. Habiganj and Taliparamba have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
