The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Darbasta plotted against Sylhet and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Darbasta followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Sylhet which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Darbasta's incremental SNDi fell from 5.76 to 5.37 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Darbasta ranked 7th out of 24 cities in Sylhet and 85th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Darbasta fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Huai'an built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Yongtai County built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Huai'an and Yongtai County both became progressively more disconnected, while Darbasta fluctuated in connectivity. Darbasta and Huai'an have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
