The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Thakurgaon plotted against Rangpur and Bangladesh. While Rangpur and Bangladesh both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Thakurgaon's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Thakurgaon's incremental SNDi rose from 3.4 to 6.85 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Thakurgaon ranked 4th out of 30 cities in Rangpur and 14th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Thakurgaon fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Shahabad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Huangshan built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Thakurgaon and Huangshan both became progressively more disconnected, while Shahabad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Thakurgaon and Shahabad have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
