The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Gangachara plotted against Rangpur and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Gangachara peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Rangpur which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Gangachara's incremental SNDi fell from 7.24 to 6.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gangachara ranked 19th out of 30 cities in Rangpur and 128th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Gangachara built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Fuqing built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Lokoja built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Gangachara and Lokoja both became progressively more disconnected, while Fuqing grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
