The SNDi of new construction in Sherpur followed a zig-zag trend, compared to Rajshahi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Sherpur ranked 3rd out of 37 cities in Rajshahi and 8th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sherpur fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Dianjiang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Chabahar built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Sherpur fluctuated in connectivity, while Dianjiang became progressively more disconnected and Chabahar became progressively more connected. Notably, Sherpur had a more sprawly network than Chabahar in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
