The SNDi of new construction in Sariakandi followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Rajshahi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Sariakandi ranked 36th out of 37 cities in Rajshahi and 214th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Sariakandi fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Abu Gharaq built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Yong'an fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Sariakandi became progressively more connected, while Abu Gharaq became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Yong'an grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Sariakandi and Abu Gharaq have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
